Team Excalibur won the NZ National series with a lead of 42 points over the Hyabusa turbo of Bill Hamilton. It was an epic finish to the season. A 21 point lead was carried forward from the previous 3 rounds. We qualified in 2nd, with the Hyabusa in 3rd. Consequently we were then leading by 22 points. At this stage we could finish the Sunday eliminations behind the turbo and still win. Sadly for Bill, any chance to win evaporated, as he was knocked out in the first round. This gave Excalibur an unbeatable lead in the NZ Nats competition bike championship.
Another highlight was the new track record of 11.11 @ 115.7mph, our fastest ever time.
